Summary

This Manufacturing and Warehouse Operations Leader will create and enhance the collaborative environment between operations, sales, accounting, and transportation for the betterment of various brands throughout the network. This leader will collaborate closely with organizational leaders to better leverage data and metrics to drive improved performance and support continued improvement of the business. The role involves strategic planning, managing people, and improving processes.

Essential Functions
  • Collaborate with onsite teams to identify initiatives for improving production, distribution, and other operational capabilities.
  • Work with Air Energy Leadership to align opportunities, project plans, and the status of various activities within brands of responsibility.
  • Develop long-term strategic goals for manufacturing and warehouse operations; identify short-, medium-, and long-term objectives to drive to our longer-term goals.
  • Responsible for overall management and operations of Air Energy Business Unit Manufacturing and Distribution Areas within the Brockton facility.
  • Safety Lead for the Brockton facility. Responsible for daily safety meetings, incident management, and overall safety performance.
  • Responsible for overall inventory accuracy through a robust cycle count program.
  • Responsible for inventory levels in terms of total value. Not to exceed a predetermined % of total sales established by Finance.
  • Accomplishes Production staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains staff by training employees and ensuring all staff are cross-trained on all equipment operations.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Utilize methods of continuous improvement in managing the manufacturing process to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Provide input to sales on quotes and manufacturing schedules.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensure the operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment, and techniques.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
  • Maintains the SIOP process by closely monitoring inventory levels, holding daily meetings, and making a calculated replenishment plan and finished goods stocking level.
  • Implement Lean Six Sigma focused on manufacturing principles and strategies within all operations.

Required Education and Experience Must have a proven history of implementing and improving organizational performance. Exceptional project management, strong decision-making, and solution implementation skills required. Ability to comfortably work in a high- volume environment.
Profit and loss operational experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or 7 to 10 years' experience in a project management/leadership role.
  • Excellent customer-facing experience and effective communication skills.
  • Formidable team leadership and process management skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Able to work collaboratively with multiple department leaders to gain consensus on projects and initiatives and develop long-term operational plans.
  • Available to travel between multiple site locations.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and principles is desired.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, talk, or hear, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision. Ability to travel. Ability to lift up to forty pounds. Exposure to elevated levels of heat or noise may occur while visiting the customer's plant environment. Moderate noise (i.e., computer printers, traffic) exists daily in the work environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel requirements in support of the Manufacturing, Warehouse Operations, and Supply Chain Operations. Mostly travel throughout the New England areas; Air travel may be required. Must hold a valid driver's license.#airenergy
