Under the direction of the Vice President of Health Center Operations and with the contributions of departmental clinical leadership, the Director nursing will guide Nursing through a period of exciting growth and beyond. He/She will explore opportunities for improvement in the quality of nursing care, productivity of nurses, efficiency of workflows, and utilization of staffing models. The Director will assess the professional needs of the nursing and medical assistant staff and plans and implements high quality programs based on those assessments. The Director conducts surveys of the nursing and medical assistant staff and incorporates the findings in the assessment and workflow development.$10, 000 sign on bonus for all new RN' s! (prorated for part-time and per-diem)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 12 pm, 1pm to 5 pm
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Uses a variety of methods including results of quality measures and needs assessments to identify the clinical and training needs of employees.
Oversees and facilitates the Nursing practice council.
Audits, maintains standards and scope of nursing practice; provides direction and support to staff to ensure practice efficiency. Acts as conduit for communication to nursing staff.
Directs the development and implementation ofhigh quality, sustainable, educational
program for nurses and medical assistants that aligns with EBNHC’s strategic initiatives, National Patient Safety Goals and Joint Commission standards.
Assists with Navigation Center development of nursing role and competencies.
May participate in clinical care 10% of his/ her time.
