Description:
SKILLS: - Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Experience using an ERP and shipping system
- Position requires ability to perform final shipment review ensuring proper goods are being processed with appropriate documentation.
- Understanding of import/export compliance and hazardous materials shipping
- Understanding of shipping document requirements
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other departments within the company.
- Must be able to accurately complete cycle counts and provide root cause analysis for variances
- Strong understanding of Inventory and Material transactions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to box and pack shipments
- Able to lift/move required weight for all material movements, up to 100 lbs.
- Work performed 90% standing, 10% seated.
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, as required to perform essential job duties.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In accordance with customer orders, must be able to ensure that material, accessories, documentation and/or any other associated requirements are correct and complete.
- Responsible for the preparation and packaging of all finished materials for shipments.
- Working knowledge of methods and requirements of freight carriers or customer specified agents.
- Responsible for all required export documentation including commercial invoices, certifications, standard invoices, multiple copies, and carrier documentation.
- Working knowledge of methods and requirements of freight carriers.
- Utilizes strapping/banding equipment.
- Under general supervision and within established guidelines, has the responsibility to perform cycle counting inventory control functions, as required.
- Maintain the supplies and equipment needed in performing duties and supporting associated departments (e.g., if quantities get too low, notify supervisor).
- Maintain an accurate and orderly area.
- Responsible for troubleshooting problem shipments and correcting
- Escalate issues related to the Order to Delivery Process immediately
- Immediately notify Supervisor/Manager of any safety, process, or equipment issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Process shipments using company ERP system and shipment carrier business software.
- Complete and print all forms, invoices and documents required per order commentary.
- Follow Quality System policies and procedures.
- Must be able to work independently and without constant direct supervision.
- Maintains record of work as required, reports discrepancies and problems to supervisor.
- Proficiently use ERP and Shipping system to create, prepare and coordinate necessary documentation
- Pick material from inventory using the first-in first-out (FIFO) method, where applicable.
- Perform material cycle counts
- Maintain or establish material records in the ERP system (stockroom location maintenance, transfers and adjustments).
- Investigate, reconcile and document count variances, as directed.
- Manage, order, stock, receive and issue expense items (MRO).
- Train others as requested by Supervisor/Manager
- Must be able to work independently and without constant direct supervision.
- Maintains record of work as required, reports discrepancies and problems to supervisor.
- Willingly performs any additional tasks requested by Supervisor/Manager
