Description:

As a Lifeguard Coordinator, you will oversee the daily operations of our aquatic area, ensuring the safety of all participants and providing exceptional leadership to our lifeguard team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-run environment for members and guests.

What you'll do on a regular day:
  • Explain and enforce safety regulations and pool rules to all participants.
  • Actively monitor for safety hazards and assist in resolving any concerns.
  • Remain rescue-ready at all times and implement emergency procedures when needed.
  • Assess the swimming capabilities of individuals and ensure they remain within appropriate areas for their skill level.
  • Lead training and shadowing shifts as part of the onboarding and orientation process for new aquatic staff.
  • Ensure proper chemical levels in the pool, maintain pool logs, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

What you bring to the role:
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and support a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills to create positive experiences for participants and encourage member satisfaction and retention.
  • Experience assessing the skill levels of swimmers and ensuring safety in the aquatic area.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and welcoming pool environment.

Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to obtain the Lifeguard instructor certification within 90 days.
  • Schedule is Sunday - Thursday with varied hours.
