Job Description:

Health Care Compliance (HCC) Lead Specialist

Location: Spain, Madrid

Contract: Full Time

Overall, Purpose of this job:

The Health Care Compliance Lead Specialist (HCCLS) Spain - MedTech is a team member of the HCC Spanish – MedTech organization, reporting directly to the HCC Director Spain - MedTech.

The HCCLS is responsible for implementing and executing various specific projects consistent with the business needs and standards in Spain. The HCCLS project work will focus on delivering business process improvements for better efficiency and effectiveness of the HCC program in Spain MedTech, in areas such as but not limited to third party intermediary due diligence, Ensuring appropriate Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, trainings, communications, policies and procedures, systems, monitoring, transparency. The HCCLS will contribute to the implementation of the Spanish HCC strategy, working closely with HCC colleagues, Business Compliance, Legal, MAF, PROFED and other key functions in Spain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the supervision of HCC Officer, the HCCLS will be ensuring HCC program effectively prevent and/or detects violation of law, regulations, policies, or the Code of Conduct in respective partnering departments
  • Partnering with respective leadership and business teams to ensure compliance ownership and right tone at the top
  • Support ethical decision-making capability within the business by participating in department leadership team meeting, reviewing promotional strategies and other significant business initiatives
  • Ensure business activities within HCPs/government officials are planned in consistence with applicable HCC policies and procedures by reviewing and pre-approving those activities
  • Acting as consultant, providing day-to-day guidance, advice to covered employees
  • Deploy HCC policies and procedures in covered department by providing necessary training and communication, managing changes, and monitoring implementation
  • Participate in company HCC monitoring program to identify warning signals, gaps and provide meaningful feedback to department leadership so that appropriate corrective action are taken accordingly
  • Manage risk involving 3rd party intermediaries by implementing the due diligence process in covered business areas, including training to business sponsors, coordinating the process with operation team, reviewing due diligence questionnaires


QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • University/bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with background that may include Health Care Compliance, Business Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Sales and Marketing or Finance


REQUIRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Ideally knowledge of regulations and industry standards of the Medical Devices market (i.e. FENIN Code)
  • Excellent Spanish and English verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills.
  • Experience in driving projects
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple, critical projects simultaneously
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and communicate with internal stakeholders at different levels.
