The Execution Systems team at Johnson & Johnson develops and implements innovative process and logistics automation solutions, optimizing manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations..

Within this team, we are looking for a motivated and technically minded engineer to support the design and implementation of automation systems within the plant. This role combines experience in Operational Technology (OT) systems and engineering fundamentals with project management skills, considering the opportunities offered by new technologies in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Data Analysis, Robotics, etc.

On one hand, the engineer will handle collaboration with various departments, working together with them and suppliers to design new solutions. On the other hand, support for continuous technological evolution is encouraged by seeking innovative solutions to progressively enhance process efficiency. Collaboration with other functions and sites within the Johnson & Johnson group will also take place to embrace new initiatives and contribute to the definition of the group's strategic roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gain a thorough understanding of automation systems and processes.
  • Implement, configure, and optimize OT systems to support logistics and process automation.
  • Contribute to engineering projects by supporting technology choices that enable data integrability, process automation and user-friendliness.
  • Handle project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Support the continuous improvement of the efficiency and reliability of our solutions during their system lifecycle management.
  • Develop expertise in plant-specific requirements through hands-on learning and collaboration.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, and vendors, to ensure seamless integration of new systems within the environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of OT systems and automation technologies.
  • Familiarity with engineering principles and their application in industrial environments.
  • Project management skills to coordinate and execute projects effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and grow on specific technology solutions designed and developed ad-hoc for our business needs.
  • Proficiency in English (B2 level or above).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in one or more areas among automation systems, industrial control systems, operational technology and information technology.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools or programming languages for industrial applications.
