About Korn Ferry ConsultingOur Consulting Line of Business spans 29 countries across EMEA, working across six major markets within our four main solution areas: Organizational Strategy, Total Reward, Leadership & Development, and Assessment & Succession.
Within Consulting, Work & Career Architecture (W& CA) plays a critical role in helping organisations create clear, scalable frameworks that link work, careers, and progression. Our work provides the foundation for fair reward, effective talent management, and transparent career pathways.
These roles are primarily private-sector focused, complementing recent senior hires into the Local Public Services team.
Role OverviewThe Senior Consultant - Work & Career Architecture plays a key role in the delivery of job architecture, job family, and career framework engagements. You will work directly with clients to analyse work, design coherent job structures, and build career frameworks that are practical, transparent, and aligned to organisational strategy.
This role is suited to consultants who enjoy detailed, analytical work combined with client interaction, and who are passionate about creating clarity around work, careers, and progression.
Key ResponsibilitiesWork & Career Architecture Delivery- Deliver job architecture and career framework workstreams within broader transformation programmes.
- Conduct job analysis and work measurement activities.
- Design job families, levels, and career pathways aligned to organisational strategy.
- Support the development of scalable frameworks that underpin reward, talent, and development processes.
Client Engagement- Work directly with client stakeholders to gather insight and validate design outputs.
- Facilitate structured working sessions and workshops focused on work and career architecture.
- Support leaders and HR teams in understanding and applying W& CA frameworks.
- Build trusted relationships through high-quality delivery and professional credibility.
Analysis & Design- Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to inform architecture and career design.
- Apply Korn Ferry methodologies (e.g. job evaluation, work measurement, career frameworks) with rigour and consistency.
- Develop clear, high-quality client materials, including presentations and working documents.
Team Collaboration- Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary Korn Ferry teams.
- Coordinate with colleagues across OD, Reward, and Talent solutions as required.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Quality & Development- Ensure W& CA deliverables meet Korn Ferry quality standards.
- Continuously develop technical capability through learning and application of Korn Ferry IP.
- Seek and respond to feedback to support ongoing professional development.
Skills and Competencies- Strong Work & Career Architecture expertise - Experience in job architecture, job families, or career frameworks.
- Analytical mindset - Comfortable working with complex job and organisational data.
- Attention to detail - Able to maintain rigour and consistency across frameworks.
- Client-centric approach - Focused on practical, implementable solutions.
- Clear communication - Able to explain technical concepts in an accessible way.
- Resilience and adaptability - Comfortable working in evolving client environments.
- Technology literate - Fluent in Microsoft Office and comfortable using AI-enabled tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT).
Experience & Qualifications- Experience delivering job architecture, job family, or career framework projects.
- Background in consulting, reward, HR transformation, or internal W& CA roles.
- Exposure to job evaluation and work measurement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
