Our Consulting Line of Business spans 29 countries across EMEA, working across six major markets within our four main solution areas: Organizational Strategy, Total Reward, Leadership & Development, and Assessment & Succession.

Within Consulting, the Organisational Design (OD) capability supports clients to translate strategy into effective structures, roles, governance, and operating models. Our work helps organisations align people, accountability, and decision-making to deliver strategy and improve performance.

Role Overview

The Associate Principal - Organisational Design plays a senior role in the design and delivery of organisation design and operating model engagements. You will lead significant OD workstreams, act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, and partner closely with Principals and Senior Principals on solution design and delivery strategy.

This role represents a step up from Senior Consultant, with increased accountability for client leadership, workstream ownership, quality assurance, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

Organisation Design Leadership
  • Lead OD workstreams within large and complex transformation programmes.
  • Shape organisational design approaches aligned to client strategy and context.
  • Lead the development of operating models, organisational structures, governance, and role clarity.
  • Ensure OD solutions are practical, evidence-based, and implementable.
Client Advisory
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Lead OD-focused client meetings, workshops, and decision forums.
  • Act as a senior advisor to leaders on organisational choices and trade-offs.
  • Support Principals and Senior Principals in overall client relationship management.
Delivery Oversight & Quality
  • Own the quality and consistency of OD deliverables across assigned engagements.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to consultants working on OD workstreams.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with Korn Ferry methodologies and standards.
  • Identify and proactively manage risks and issues within OD delivery.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Coach and develop Senior Consultants and Consultants within OD teams.
  • Provide clear direction, feedback, and support to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
Capability Building
  • Contribute to the development of OD capability, tools, and ways of working.
  • Share insights, learning, and best practice across the Consulting community.
  • Support internal initiatives that strengthen Korn Ferry's OD proposition.
Skills and Competencies
  • Deep organisational design expertise - Strong experience leading OD and operating model work.
  • Senior client advisory skills - Credible and confident with senior leaders.
  • Structured problem-solving - Able to bring clarity and rigour to complex organisational challenges.
  • Facilitation excellence - Skilled in leading senior-level workshops and discussions.
  • Inclusive leadership style - Builds trust, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Resilience and adaptability - Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change.
  • Technology literate - Fluent in Microsoft Office and comfortable using AI-enabled tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT).
Experience & Qualifications
  • Significant experience delivering organisation design and operating model engagements.
  • Proven track record of leading workstreams within complex consulting programmes.
  • Experience working directly with senior client stakeholders.
  • Background in consulting or a comparable internal organisational design role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
