Your role: Health & Safety Lead
The H& S Lead is responsible for providing strong on-site leadership/management and expert guidance to ensure the effective implementation, continuous improvement, and integrity of the Health & Safety management systems across the Speke operation. This role acts as the primary point of contact for health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with legislation and fostering a proactive safety culture at all levels.
The role is responsible for COAMH Compliance along with our `Right to operate`. Provide hands-on, physical presence across the site with daily face-to-face engagement, supporting plant activities and key operational tasks/projects. Work closely with teams to identify hazards, assess risks, and promote safe systems of work. Act as the focal point for engagement with regulatory authorities and external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate communication, documentation, and follow-up actions.
Manage Compliance Training for site, engage with external providers along with managing booking and the tracking of activities to ensure compliance training is maintained and managed effectively.

Interpret and Apply UK H& S Legislation
Own and Manage Key H& S Programmes
Ensure Effective H& S Training Provision
Deliver Site Inductions
Facilitate and Sustain Risk Management Processes
Lead and Oversee Incident Management and Reporting
Maintain H& S Data, Metrics, and KPIs
Support and Review Site Projects
Lead and Participate in Inspections and Audits
Lead Site HSE Engagement Activities
Provide H& S Briefings to Site Leadership
Promote Best Practice Through Engagement
HSE / FM Director Support
