Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson MedTech | Orthopaedics are looking for a Marketing Manager - Primary Knee.

Role Purpose:

As we transform to a MedTech organisation, the Marketing Manager will play the leading role in shaping our strategy, and providing the clarity and direction required to ensure all parts of our business are aligned behind UK & Ireland Strategy. Through their leadership, the marketing team will enable and empower us all to move from product to value, and push to pull engagement by optimising a true Omnichannel approach. By extending the reach of our products and services we will treat more patients, earlier in their illness, with the most advanced interventions and to the highest standards of care and efficiency. This is all in service of our promise to make meaningful improvement to the trajectory of human health.

This requires us to lean in to the development of clear, compelling value propositions defined by customer insight. To communicate these value propositions through engaging content delivered with the mix of channels and frequency that our customers desire. Segmenting far more closely than the simple category level to identify clear personas and care abouts will be critical to the role of the Fast Forward marketeer, with a specific focus on the areas where our products and services can deliver the most value and leveraging the breadth of what MedTech UK & Ireland has to offer. All of this requires seamlessly connected data to gather meaningful insight and refine our execution in a cycle of continuous improvement.

As the Primary Knee Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing marketing strategies to promote our products/services and drive brand awareness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, and use your expertise to meet and exceed our marketing goals.

What you will be Doing:

  • Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy for Primary Knee Portfolio: Create, implement, and manage a comprehensive revision marketing strategy aligned with company objectives, including short-term and long-term goals.
  • Be a Specialty & Product Knowledge expert, demonstrating market, healthcare system and customer knowledge
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance, setting goals, and fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and industry trends. Utilize insights to refine marketing strategies.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, content marketing, social media, email marketing, and traditional marketing efforts.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI.
  • Brand Management: Maintain and strengthen the company's brand identity through consistent messaging, visual elements, and communication across all marketing channels.

  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze campaign performance, using data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Identify and build strategic partnerships and collaborations especially with key revision networks in the UK that enhance the company's marketing efforts and expand its reach.
  • Product Launches: Coordinate and manage product launches, including market positioning, promotional activities, and communication strategies.
  • Digital Presence: Oversee the company's online presence, including the website, social media profiles, and online advertising, to ensure a strong and consistent digital footprint.

Brand/ Product Management

  • Be a Specialty & Product Knowledge expert, demonstrating market, healthcare system and customer knowledge.
  • Budget planning and ownership of the portfolio financial commitments
  • Assist in the development of the platform training content and delivery where relevant
  • Act as the UK lead in interactions with relevant EMEA and Global Marketing colleagues
  • Support accurate demand forecasting for both existing products and NPIs with the S& OP team

Strategy Development

  • Defines business goals, aligned with overall business strategies, to be met through digital engagement activities, defines ROI models
  • Secures necessary funding
  • Serves as the strategic voice of the customer, elicits internal and external customer input
  • Sets priorities, oversees and guides the utilization of digital properties and marketing activities and creates a supportive culture throughout the organization
  • Ensures the effective use of resources through consolidation and elimination of organizational barriers
  • Regularly reviews analytics and ROI reporting against benchmarks, adjusts resources as necessary
  • Development of KOL Advocacy Plan

Launch Excellence

  • End to end local ownership of NPIs using LEX principles

KOL Management

  • Owns the KOL plan for the product groups
  • Reviews current and future KOL capabilities and needs for the business strategy
  • Selects the right ambassador/influencer match for each strategy and Prof Ed
  • Attract, onboard, and manage day-to-day relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Reach out, manage and negotiate with influencers, KOL’s, and agencies
  • Build long term relationships with valuable KOLs
  • Monitor and steer campaign budgets and make sure set campaign targets are met
  • Monitor and optimise each KOLs performance
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies and KOLs
