Compensation - $110, 000 - $125, 000 The Opportunity
The Warbler is an independently owned hotel: warm, welcoming, and unmistakably New Orleanian. A point of view rooted in character, charm, and the kind of hospitality that makes every guest feel like they are the most important person in the room.
Set along the tree-lined corridor of St. Charles Avenue in the Garden District, The Warbler draws inspiration from old-world traditions and the soulful rhythm of New Orleans. The hotel is intimate and design-forward, layered and elegant, without slipping into pretension.
At its heart is Mildred's, a bar-centric restaurant serving an ode to martinis, tapas, and lingering evenings. Above it all sits Upstairs, a casual, lush pool and bar. Together, they create a space where guests come for a drink and decide to stay for the night.
Together, The Warbler, Mildred's, and Upstairs offer something rare: spontaneous, authentic hospitality that feels discovered, not marketed - a true gift of New Orleans warmth in a setting that feels both luxurious and deeply human.
We are seeking a General Manager who can sell this feeling. Someone who understands that this role is about relationships and story telling that is authentic and reflective of our city, our shared values, and our setting in the Garden District.
The Role
As General Manager, you are the guiding force behind the entire guest experience, with direct leadership over both hotel and food and beverage operations. You will oversee the successful opening of the property, shape the service philosophy across all outlets, and set the tone for a culture rooted in generosity, excellence, and accountability.
You will work in close partnership with hotel management and F& B department leaders to translate vision into daily reality. From financial performance and operational discipline to team development and community engagement, your leadership will touch every part of the operation, balancing big-picture strategy with detailed execution.
You will provide hands-on leadership to Mildred's and Upstairs, ensuring vision, service standards, financial performance, and guest experience are thoughtfully aligned. You will partner closely with F& B leaders to create spaces that feel vibrant, intentional, and deeply connected to the spirit of New Orleans.
Deep local roots matter here. We are seeking someone who understands New Orleans not just as a market, but as a living, breathing community. Someone who can embed themselves in the neighborhood, cultivate authentic relationships, and ensure that The Warbler, Mildred's, and Upstairs become true gathering places for both locals and travelers.
