Job title: Project Manager I

Job Location: 2600 Citi Place Drive, Suite 450, Baton Rouge, LA 70808

Job duties: Manage bridge/structural tasks as part of project development, including plan and report production. Reviews project proposal or plan to determine scope, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project and staffing requirements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced personnel on specific tasks and perform structural analysis and design for bridges, including developing engineering design calculation templates for engineers to implement using MS Excel and Mathcad, computing bridge quantities and cost estimates, and using structural design software such as LEAP Bridge, AASHTOWare BrR, Midas Civil, PG Splice for bridge structural analysis and design. Prepare scope of work and cost estimate for proposals, manages staff utilization by scheduling, monitoring and revising assignments. Provide quality control, quality assurance for bridge design project of simple and complex nature.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related. Requires a Professional Engineer (PE) License

Requires 4 years of experience in Civil Engineering or related. Requires skills and experience to involve:
  • Experience performing structural design for simple span and continuous span prestressed concrete girder bridges using AASHTO LRFD while incorporating specific state/client specific design guidelines.
  • Experience performing structural design for complex bridges like post tensioned spliced girder bridges, curved steel bridges, including finite element analysis in Midas, based on AASHTO LRFD and state specific design requirements.
  • Ability to review shop drawings as the consultant's engineer for prestressed girder and steel girder bridges, while ensuring design and construction conformance standards.
  • Knowledge with structural design and analysis using LEAP Bridge, and AASHTOWare BrR.
  • Experience performing finite element analysis in Midas Civil for bridges/culverts.
  • Experience performing load rating and rehabilitation design using AASHTOWare BrR.
  • Knowledge and experience in drafting bridge plans using MicroStation.
  • Ability to review shop drawings as the consultant's engineer for prestressed girder and steel girder bridges, while ensuring design and construction conformance standards.
  • A background in business development, proposal writing, networking and strong listener of client's needs.
  • Expertise with engineering calculations and reports using MS Excel, Mathcad, and MS Word.
