Job Description

MCC, a division of Applied Research Associates, Inc is hiring a ICBM Development Training Support Analyst in Barksdale AFB, LA. This is a full-time position.

The Mission Concepts and Capabilities Division of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc., www.ara.com is seeking a full-time ICBM Training Support Analyst to provide support to AFGSC/10 on-site at Barksdale AFB, LA. Applicant must have a strong background in ICBM training requirements development and training analysis support. Previous assignments at AFGSC, AFNWC, 20AF, AETC, AFOTEC or 576th Test squadron desired.

Essential Functions:

  • Support A10 in training planning, analysis, program management, and decision support for ICBM modernization and sustainment to include trainers.
  • Assist in the coordination, review, and editing of training plans and processes to determine impacts related to HQ AFGSC/A10 missions and sustainment of ICBM weapons systems
  • Draft and support requirements briefings (approved by A10) to other MAJCOMs, AF, joint, and national agencies.
  • Analyze training plans to support milestone decisions relating to future nuclear systems.
  • Participate in integrated training teams for current and future ICBM acquisitions
  • Assist A10 in providing requirements and programmatic oversite to programs involving operational, support, and maintenance training, trainers, and trainer-unique support equipment.
  • Assist A10 in interfacing with other agencies (AFGSC/A3, 576 FLTS, AFNWC, AETC, AFOTEC, etc.) to ensure training compliance
  • Assist A10 in drafting and staffing packages, briefings, point/background/white papers, and electronic staffing (E-staffing) in response to internal and external MAJCOM taskings

Required Skills:

  • Possess a Top Secret (TS) SCI Clearance or previously held a TS which has expired (not revoked)
  • Possess a minimum of 10 years ICBM experience in ICBM operations and/or maintenance
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of staff experience working on an Air Force MAJCOM, Headquarters Air Force (HAF), or joint equivalent

    Preferred Skills:

    • Familiar with Training System Requirements Analysis (TSRA) document, Training Program Development and Management Plan (TPDMP), Training Device requirements document (TDRD)
    • Completed Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
    • ICBM operations and/or maintenance training/trainer experience desired
    • Familiar with trainer systems, trainer devices, part-task-trainers, and design requirements
