Overview

Marine Systems, Inc is hiring a Warehouse/Parts Manager in our Baton Rouge facility. Responsible for management of the daily operations of the warehouse and ensuring optimal product, parts and supply stocking levels are met. 70806

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Warehouse personnel’s daily activities.
  • Supervise Inventory Control Analyst in the daily activities of inventory administration.
  • Manage Customer Service Representatives when requested.
  • Ascertain and verify credit rating of customers as applies to quotations or orders.
  • Compute prices, discounts, and shipping charges as required.
  • Follow up on orders to ensure delivery by customer specified dates.
  • Initiates purchase requisitions and may supervise the proper administration of all purchase orders issued by the location.
  • Informs purchasing of the need to satisfy orders that are on back order and/or that require expedition.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Field and Shop personnel to schedule shop production of rebuilt items.
  • Monitor and approve the weekly inventory cycle counts.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of all inventory discrepancies and approve all inventory adjustments within limit of authority.
  • Coordinate with relevant personnel to facilitate the disposition of excess, slow-moving and obsolete inventory items.
  • Manage core processes and procedures.
  • Ensures that information on material safety data sheets is current and up-to-date.
  • Responsible for a clean, organized warehouse.
  • Manage upkeep and condition of all equipment in areas of responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Develop relationships with coworkers to better understand the processes and culture that affect safety.
  • Influence safety by evaluating safety performance, participating in safety meetings, targeting areas needing improvement and developing initiatives to impact the areas.
  • Thoroughly knowledgeable of Safe Work Policy.


Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years related experience and or training
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and multi-task oriented
