The iconic Waldorf Astoria property in New Orleans, The Roosevelt, is seeking a Bell Captain to join the team!

The Bell Captain is responsible for leading the Bell and Door team in delivering anticipatory, Forbes-level luxury service while ensuring all arrival and departure experiences are seamless, professional, and aligned with Hilton's standards of excellence. This leader maintains a visible presence in the lobby and front drive, ensures luggage delivery within the 10-minute brand standard, upholds strict grooming and conduct expectations per the Hilton Team Member Handbook, and models integrity, accountability, and teamwork at all times. The Bell Captain oversees operational flow, coordinates effectively with Front Office, Concierge, Valet, Housekeeping, and Security, and protects guest belongings and hotel assets with the highest level of care. The role requires strong leadership presence, sound decision-making, and the ability to resolve guest concerns with professionalism and composure. Additionally, the Bell Captain must be technology savvy, demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Outlook for real-time communication, scheduling, and professional correspondence, while maintaining accurate digital documentation and adapting to Hilton systems and operational platforms. Above all, this position sets the tone for Sincerely Elegant Service and ensures the Light and Warmth of Hospitality is reflected in every guest interaction. Operational Oversight
  • Manage bell desk operations including luggage storage, tracking, and security.
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, Concierge, Valet, Housekeeping, and Security to ensure operational flow.
  • Review daily arrivals, departures, and group resumes.
  • Ensure accurate logging of luggage deliveries and guest requests.
  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust coverage based on occupancy and group volume.

Technology & Communication Proficiency
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge ofMicrosoft Teamsfor real-time communication, departmental updates, and leadership coordination.
  • UtilizeMicrosoft Outlookeffectively for email correspondence, calendar management, scheduling, and professional communication.
  • Maintain organized digital communication records and ensure timely responses.
  • Navigate Hilton systems and internal platforms to review arrivals, guest profiles, and service recovery documentation.
  • Adapt quickly to new operational technologies and mobile applications used for tracking service metrics and audits.
