Job Summary:

The Buyer / Strategic Sourcing Specialist position requires a high level of attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include corporate purchasing, data processing, vendor relations, and supply chain support. Previous experience in procurement processing is highly encouraged.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and issues procurement expenditures.
  • Maintains accurate and organized records of all purchase activities
  • Requests and prepares bid quotations
  • Tracking and coordinating material shipments and deliveries
  • Procurement purchase reconciliations
  • Inventory and material support which may include cycle counts
  • Generates, develops, and maintains supplier relationships
  • Resolves vendor related issues or disputes
  • Additional assignments maybe requested by management

Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge or NetSuite or other procurement systems is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact clearly and concisely with all departments and levels of management
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention-to-detail
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Excellent planning and decision-making skills
  • Ability to resolve escalated issues in a timely manner
  • Multitasking is essential

Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in Business, Supply Chain or other related disciplines.
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in corporate procurement
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite notably Microsoft Excel

Physical Requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to work after regularly scheduled hours as needed
  • Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods working on a computer (4 to 8 hours)
  • Ability to operate the equipment used for the job
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds at times
