Position Overview

As a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Presell Representative , you're the face of our brand in the field-visiting stores, building relationships, and driving product visibility. Your focus will be managing current customer accounts, growing sales, and ensuring our products are well stocked, well placed, and easy to find.

Key Responsibilities

• Build relationships with current customers while actively looking for new business opportunities.
• Cold call and pitch Community Coffee to potential new clients.
• Selling promotions and campaigns to gain eye-catching displays and shelf space.
• Make sure our products are fresh, rotated, and well stocked.
• Troubleshoot product or equipment issues and solve them quickly.
• Use a handheld device to track orders, deliveries, and customer info.
• Collect payments and make daily bank deposits for your route.
• Load and unload products and remove out-of-date or damaged items.
• Install, service, or recover brewing equipment at customer locations.
• Drive a company vehicle safely from account to account.
• Clean and maintain your vehicle and basic equipment.
• Support sales goals and report back any customer insights.
• Share key info with Merchandisers and Service Reps to ensure smooth follow-up.
• May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Passing score on aptitude test required in lieu of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1 year of relevant customer service or sales experience.
• Prior experience in DSD or route sales preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical and maintain certification.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic handheld and mobile technology for sales tracking.
• Internal Only: Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources

• Regularly required to lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Frequent climbing, stooping, kneeling, and getting in and out of a vehicle.
• Ability to service 20-30 accounts daily in a variety of retail environments.
• Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

This is a field-based role that includes working both indoors (stores, warehouses) and outdoors in various weather conditions. The noise level may vary from quiet to moderately loud depending on location.
