Implement, conduct and continuously improve Safety Health, Sustainability (SHS) education, knowledge and performance at branches within the assigned geographic area, including, Smith System defensive driving training, weekly SHS training, annual internal audits, incident investigations and reporting, field level behavior based worker observations and coaching (BBO's) and other tasks as requested by supervisor.

Salary: The compensation for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.

Location: We're open to candidates in Baton Rouge, LA or Lake Charles, LA.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor's degree and/or a diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline, or a combination of education and management experience that would be considered equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years college/university; 4 years preferred.
• Professional certification (CRSP or CSP) is an advantage.
• Must have and maintain clean driver's license.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and technical matters related to managing health and safety risk and prior experience in a field-supporting SHS role is an advantage.
• 5+ years' experience preferred in the following Industries:
  • Vacuum; Pump Trucks
  • Construction
  • Utilities
  • Oil and Gas
  • Waste collection
  • Equipment rentals
