JOB SUMMARY
Oversee and manage all activities of Packout Operators, Quality Control (QC) Inspectors, and Out-of-Box Audit (OBA) Inspectors to ensure that internal and external customer requirements are consistently met. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, developing team capabilities, and ensuring compliance with industry and customer standards.
Recruit, interview, and hire QC, Packout, and OBA personnel.
Define hiring criteria and communicate requirements to recruiters.
Monitor turnover, identify improvement areas, and implement solutions.
Assess individual and team strengths and development needs.
Create and maintain training programs for all assigned functions.
Set clear, measurable goals and performance metrics (operational metrics, project timelines, attendance, knowledge, personal development).
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback; conduct timely, professional evaluations.
Recognize and reward accomplishments fairly and consistently.
Keep teams focused during crises and drive continuous improvement.
Foster open communication within the department.
Organize verbal and written communications clearly and professionally.
Adapt communication style to meet team members’ needs.
Technical Management
Develop QC, Packout, and OBA coverage schedules for optimal resource use.
Participate in On-Time Delivery (OTD) meetings per Jabil structure.
Train QC and OBA teams to meet industry, customer, and regulatory standards.
Provide cross-training to enable backfilling in Packout, QC, or OBA roles as needed.
Analyze OMI, DPM, and quality reports to identify process gaps.
Conduct process audits and coordinate 5S audits with OBA staff.
Monitor departmental performance and output.
Provide technical support on inspection-related issues.
Promote engagement, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and security procedures.
Directly manage team members, including hiring, termination, pay decisions, and performance management.
Bachelor’s degree and 5–6 years of related experience.
Prior supervisory experience required.
Training in IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and other relevant industry standards
