Description:

If you are a Quality Engineer looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Louisville, KY, you will be an integral member of the Quality team responsible for supporting cross functional teams through all phases of the nuclear orders of varying size and complexity. Additionally, you will be a responsible for process improvements & continuous improvement activities.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

  • Hosting a weekly cadence meeting with cross function teams to review and discuss status of upcoming and current nuclear orders
  • Communicating with cross functional teams throughout the entire process of a nuclear order.
  • Point of contact for customer inquiries and questions on EOMR and other required reports and activities at the plant.
  • Point of contact at the site for customer audits and visits.
  • Facilitate the training of all operators who are in-house and associated with the Nuclear program
  • Reviews all Purchase Orders to understand requirements for the order
  • Prepares EOMR and other compliance documentation required for each order
  • Identifies the necessary inspection requirements and develops compliance packages
  • Conducts supplier audits for nuclear compliance
  • Support production during the build process to ensure compliance
  • Review any field reports and documents provided throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Review Contracts, Letters of Intent, Purchase Orders, Quality Documents, etc.
  • Maintain all necessary data for each EOMR report that is compiled
  • Develop inspection plans as it pertains to the components required for the build
  • Work with other Emerson facilities to ensure compliance
  • Collect and conduct analysis of data to suggest possible improvements to be made
  • Work with cross functional teams to determine necessary steps for improvements identified
  • Part of a cross functional team for New Product Introduction
  • Work with QC team to help analyze returns or customer concerns with Root Cause Analysis

Who you are:

  • You are an individual that is action orientated. You extract lessons learned from previous failures and mistakes to make quality decisions.

For this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related Quality experience in nuclear, medical, or similar industries.
  • Ability to read and comprehend the nuclear standards and requirements identified in the customer quotes and compliance packages.
  • Ability to understand the test plans and qualification test requirements as called out by Engineering
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Familiarity with nuclear and global requirements
  • Familiarity with Global Certification’s and industrial standards
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Must have the ability to travel (Audit of suppliers)
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
