SUMMARY:

Individual will have responsibilities for asset management, portfolio management and be an integral part of the Investment Department. Experience level corresponds to 1 to 5 years.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Be an integral part of the asset management process. It will be the responsibility of this position to execute equity and fixed income trades to establish sector allocations according to the Senior Investment Manager’s guidance. Be able to analyze individual common stock or mutual funds or fixed income security in order to support the investment process. It is critical that they are able to develop buy or sell opinions on individual securities or funds.

· Be an integral part of the portfolio management. Manage individual portfolios according to client objectives, department policies and procedures and all applicable legal regulations and guidelines. Managers should strive to have performance that exceeds our investment benchmarks. In role as portfolio manager, individual must seek a high retention ratio of existing clients and assist in the development of new business.

· Be an integral part of the management of the Investment Department. Take a leadership role when presented with various projects, assignments, presentations or routine reporting requirements.

As directed, be able to perform as backup to Trader/Investment Coordinator position, in terms of settlements and trading. Be responsible for coordination between Trust Accounting System and Trading Platform, and all Portfolio Managers and Brokers in order to facilitate trade settlements.

· Serve as a member of the Trust Investment Committee (TIC). Prepare for and participate actively in scheduled meetings.

· Ensure all actions performed are in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES/EXPERIENCE

  • An undergraduate college degree is required; an advanced degree is optional but helpful
  • Proficient/knowledgeable in use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Adobe Acrobat are necessary
  • Must possess advanced knowledge of security markets and fiduciary business
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg Information System and other analytical tools must be developed
  • Ability to work under pressure and stress
  • Detail orientated
  • Possess analytical thought process and ability to recognize and independently evaluate and buy and sell individual investment securities
  • Above average math skills required

· Demonstrate initiative and accept accountability for specific job duties and responsibilities
