As a Streets Technician, you'll perform essential construction, maintenance, and cleaning duties to keep the City of Frankfort functioning safely and efficiently under direct supervision. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assists in installing, constructing, repairing and/or cleaning City buildings, streets and roads, floodwalls, sidewalks, storm sewers, culverts, catch basins, manholes, drainage ditches, street signs, barricades, guard rails, etc. Paints curbs and parking lines. Mows grass; collects leaves; cuts weeds, trees and tree limbs. Assists in salting or otherwise treating streets and roads; removes snow. Assists in pouring concrete and making forms. Assists with paving and asphalt repairs. Performs general construction and maintenance duties. Provide safe and efficient operation of vehicles and equipment. Ensure work area is clean, and all equipment and tools are properly stored after use. Must be able to respond to after-hours emergencies such as weather events, etc. Operates both CDL and Non-CDL required light to heavy vehicles and equipment. Assists in performing public works duties in other Divisions and Departments as needed. Maintains clean and sanitary buildings, vehicles and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.
