Care Net Pregnancy Services of Northern Kentucky is hiring a Nurse Advocate in Florence, KY. This is a full-time position.
Title: Nurse Advocate Reports To: Nurse Manager Location: Supervises: All Care Net locations in NKY N/A Status: Part-Time, 18 Hours Non-Exempt Primary Function Manage and perform patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and the direction of the Director of Nursing. Principal Duties Ensure compliance and care within the scope of Care Nets Policy and Procedures and best practices.Provide the service of limited obstetrical ultrasound for confirmation of pregnancy.Provide testing and treatment for Sexually Transmitted InfectionsProvide patients with health education and referrals for medical care.Document all patient files with ultrasound results, lab results and pertinent information.Participate in Community Outreach efforts.All other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements Hold Active Registered Nurse License in KentuckyAbility to train and successfully complete limited obstetric ultrasound program under the direction of the Medical Director of UltrasoundAbility to remain seated and/or standing for the duration required to complete ultrasound training activitiesAbility to position and move your upper extremities as needed to perform ultrasound scanning tasksAbility to hold the scanning arm steady for the timerequiredto complete ultrasound imaging tasksAbility to hold and control the ultrasound transducer for the durationrequiredto complete scanning tasksAbility to use both hands at the same time for different ultrasound-related tasks, such as scanning with one hand while operating console controls with the otherAbility to view ultrasound images andidentifysubtle differences in image contrast needed for training tasks Experience in a ministry capacity is preferred but not required.Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills.Intermediate PC skills in a Windows based environment. Special Requirements Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with God and exhibits a strong commitment to the Pro-Life position.Ability to travel, attend and complete required NIFLA and Heartbeat International training Ability to complete required Bright Course Training.Candidate must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Candidate must be detail oriented and organized.Candidate must be able to multi-task and work independently.Attend Staff and Medical Staff meetings.
