Field Service Technician

As an OCR (Oil Circuit Recloser) Field Service Technician, youll play an important role in supporting our customers by inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and servicing electrical power distribution equipment. Youll work hands-on in a variety of environments, apply your technical expertise to solve complex electrical challenges, and deliver exceptional service to our customers. Work under moderate to heavy supervision from Senior Field Service Technicians while developing technical skills and field experience. Assist with the inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical power distribution equipment. Perform basic electrical testing and assist senior technicians with more complex testing activities. Assist with testing and maintenance activities involving reclosers, sectionalizers, oil switches and related electrical equipment. Learn to properly operate industrial electrical test equipment and hand tools. Follow all company and customer safety requirements, including PPE, lockout/tagout, and hazard awareness procedures. Maintain accurate daily service reports, testing documentation, and other required job records. Properly manage, check in/out, transport, and care for company tools and test equipment. Support senior technicians and project teams in completing field assignments safely, efficiently, and according to customer requirements. Interact professionally with customers and represent Sunbelt Solomon positively while working at customer sites. Extensive travel locally and regionally, based on business and customer needs. Overtime and work outside of regular business hours, including nights and weekends, may be required based on outages, emergency service calls, and project deadlines.
