As a Senior Cloud Engineer at KGS, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining a robust, optimized, and reliable cloud platform that supports the business needs of Koch Inc. and its subsidiaries. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of enterprise infrastructure and platforms, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation in our cloud platform.

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will have the unique opportunity to interact with a diverse range of businesses, from tech companies to manufacturing to data companies, gaining invaluable insights and addressing varied business needs.

What You Will Do

Design and implement enterprise infrastructure and platforms required for AWS & Azure cloud computing platforms.

Build and maintain a stable and efficient infrastructure to optimize service delivery across environments throughout the development lifecycle.

Utilize a consistent DevSecOps approach to improve all phases of the process and ensure end-to-end quality across functions.

Provide technical mentorship to team members, guiding them in best practices for cloud infrastructure, and overall technical growth.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • A strong background in the following technologies like: AWS and/or Azure, GraphQL, Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, JavaScript, REST APIs, Bash & Powershell
  • Track record of technical mentorship
  • Expert in Infrastructure as Code (IAC), serverless computing, and AWS Lambda.
  • Experience developing reusable, maintainable, and efficient code with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
  • Experience using version control tools like GitLab and GitHub
  • Knowledge and understanding of SDLC methodology and agile software development.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Associate or Professional level Cloud Provider Certifications
  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking. AWS VPCs, Route53, EC2s, ELBs
  • Advanced cloud architecture design that are beyond basic cloud deployments. Being able to design complex, highly scalable, and resilient cloud architectures for demanding workloads.
  • Background in FinOps or cost-optimization strategies across cloud platforms.
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS)
