We are proud to announce the establishment of a state-of-the-art Li-ion battery factory, set amidst the beautiful Kansas City Metro. This groundbreaking green-field factory will serve as a pioneering hub for innovation in sustainable energy solutions.

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas.

Position Summary: The M aterial Handler is responsible for overseeing the movement of materials and products within the facility, ensuring that everything flows smoothly in receiving and shipping. This involves operating equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks. Essential duties include unloading/loading trucks, delivering materials to production, and handling documentation for material receipts and deliveries. The Material Handler plays a crucial role in maintaining production efficiency, organizing workspace, and upholding quality standards while demonstrating adept troubleshooting skills.

Essential Duties:



    • Delivery of materials to the production floor.



    • Analyze and estimate workload based on order sheets



    • Perform daily, operational, routine, and periodic checks on delivered raw materials .



    • Recording and inspection on equipment, including cleaning, checking, and adding fluids as needed.



    • Perform quality checks using microscopes, micrometers, measuring devices, digital voltmeters (optional), calipers, rulers, and other related devices.



    • Use mobile equipment in daily operations to include forklifts, walkies, etc.



    • Unloading materials for delivery trucks



    • Follow work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including safety compliance.



    • Prepare documentation as required .



    • Maintains a clean and safe work area following the 6S standard



    • Understands department workflow, processes & is detail-oriented.



    • Excellent verbal and written communication with co-workers.



    • Adherence to company rules and policies.



    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner .



    • Support proper implementation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.



    • Operate and maintain tools and equipment within the functional area



    • Ability to work all scheduled shift hours



    • Ability to train others at the same or lower level within the functional area.




Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees', wearing PPE is mandatory including equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. Respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

Education
  • Required : High school diploma, GED or 2 years of prior experience in the functional area


Essential Qualifications


    • Previous use of mobile equipment (forklift, walkies, etc.)



    • Must be able to manage time.



    • Must have a safety-conscious attitude.



    • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English



    • Must be able to create reports in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)



Preferred Qualifications:



    • Previous experience in manufacturing environment, automation or assembly



    • Possesses thorough knowledge of all oil and chemical labeling and storage requirements.



    • Ability to contribute positively to the daily work environment/department and work in a high performing team environment.



    • In the absence of a supervisor, must be able to make safe, business minded, conscientious decisions when issues arise.
