Essential Functions of the job, as a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist Therapist we operate in the following daily:
Evaluation & Plan: Assess patients within 24 hours of referral and develop effective treatment plans, obtaining physician approval.
Provide Therapy: Deliver treatments as prescribed and adjust per policy.
Supervision: Oversee Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants during care.
Collaboration: Communicate patient progress with the care team and participate in conferences as needed.
Documentation: Maintain accurate evaluations, progress notes, and required records.
Family Training: Instruct families and staff on maintenance programs for discharge readiness.
Compliance: Follow state practice acts, facility policies, and payer requirements.
Leadership: Act as a preceptor for students and CFY/RFP candidates.
Requirements: Positive interactions with residents, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathologist Therapy, prefer graduates of Masters or Doctorate Program in Speech-Language Therapy. Intermediate level knowledge with computer skills such as inputting data into programs such as Casamba and Point Click Care (PCC).
