Overview

We are seeking a full-time User Interface Designer Intern for Summer 2026 in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality visual graphics for Garmin products.

Essential Functions
  • Learn to prepare final software-ready image files based on supplied specifications for several types of product lines
  • Learn to collaborate with user interface designers and software engineers to make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and assist in the resolution of artwork issues during the production process
  • Learn how to follow established processes and guidelines to ensure tasks are being completed on time
  • Learn the ability to manage multiple basic projects in parallel from start to finish
Basic Qualifications
  • Completed coursework in graphic design/visual communication
  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledge
  • Proficient or able to learn the understanding of imaging formats, screen technology, quality control, and asset output
  • Proficient or able to learn using Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and collaborate effectively with others to achieve goals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficient organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail/quality
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Blender, Microsoft Office
  • Experience in Visual Communications or Graphic Design
