Description:
OverviewWe are seeking a full-time
Project Manager (Web/Mobile) in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be managing resource plans, timelines, project scope, and project dependencies with multiple stakeholders. Project Managers also stay in constant communication with the Device Project Manager to ensure that the two teams are in sync and are aware of project statuses.
Essential Functions- Create and maintain project timeline and team schedule
- Work with device project manager to provide project status and to ensure teams are in sync
- Act as the gatekeeper for the team to reduce distractions during sprints
- Proactively Communicate project status, risks, issues, and timeline changes to the project owner, product owner, and DI management
- Function as the hub for communication within the team and outside of the team
- Manage conflict within the project team
- Management and follow up of action items from meetings
- Lead status meetings
- Create and maintain project forms
- Negotiate priority of features and resources between product owners
- Work with project team to coordinate resolving roadblocks
- Attend sprint ceremonies
- Attend showcase demos
- Collaborate directly with co-located and remote development team members and business clients
- Collaborate with device project team
- Work closely with project team
- Collaborate with legal team to ensure Garmin is following privacy guidelines
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline AND a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a cross-functional setting with business partners
- Must be positive, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and lead projects in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
- Previous experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven track record in successfully executing projects of any scale or complexity
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of competency
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience and/or training
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint)
