Overview

We are seeking a full-time Product Support Engineer 1 in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for driving basic improvements in factory yield, product failure analysis, product sustainability and quality.

Essential Functions
  • Learn how to use/apply troubleshooting and general relevant EE tools (ex. power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
  • Thoroughly document analysis and findings in an organized manner
  • Perform basic schematic design and PCB layout as well as basic troubleshooting and debugging
  • Analyze, test, and qualify component specification changes used on existing products
  • Qualify suitable replacement parts and designs for parts obsolescence issues on existing products
  • Provide solutions to simple issues impacting factory yield of existing products
  • Use documented hardware change management processes with guidance from mentor to implement product design changes as needed for improved manufacturability
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous work or internship experience with circuit design for consumer or aviation products
