OverviewWe are seeking a full-time
Manager Enterprise Business Applications in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for managing one or more teams responsible for delivering, enhancing, and supporting enterprise business systems, including ERP platforms and integrated technologies, through effective leadership, prioritization, and oversight. This role blends strategic direction, operational management, and people leadership to ensure high-quality system performance, secure and compliant operations, and successful delivery of projects aligned to organizational priorities.
Essential Functions- Manage, develop, and retain a high-performing team by setting clear expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and supporting career growth
- Partner with IT leadership and stakeholders to define goals, track progress, and report on delivery and operational performance
- Oversee prioritization of team activities to align with strategic objectives and business needs
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security requirements, and regulatory standards across all team activities
- Drive process improvements to enhance availability, reliability, performance, and operational efficiency
- Serve as an escalation point for complex issues and decisions impacting enterprise business systems
- Direct root cause analysis and remediation efforts for critical incidents and ensure corrective actions established to prevent recurrence
- Maintain operational readiness through proactive monitoring, patching, and capacity management
- Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes to minimize downtime and improve stability
- Ensure documentation and knowledge base content is current and supports consistent issue resolution
- Monitor and optimize support processes, self-service capabilities, and knowledge management practices
- Ensure enterprise business systems meet performance, availability, and reliability targets
Other Responsibilities: - Identify emerging technologies, tools, or methods that could improve team delivery or system performance.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and retention of high-performing team members to maintain capability and continuity.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching to support professional growth and career progression.
- Participate in vendor evaluations, contract reviews, and procurement activities as required.
- Assist in annual budgeting, staffing forecasts, and capacity planning in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Pursue ongoing personal professional development to maintain expertise in leadership, technology and industry best practices.
- Maintain awareness of regulatory, compliance, and security trends relevant to ERP and enterprise systems.
- May provide occasional after-hour or weekend support as needed to meet operational or project requirements.
- Accept and execute special projects, operational initiatives, or IT & Security assignments outside normal scope as directed.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field AND a minimum of 7 years of experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Minimum of 5 years of continuous experience delivering ERP or enterprise business systems within a structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) environment
- Minimum of 3 years of formal people management experience, including hiring, performance feedback, and personnel decisions
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional priorities, delegate effectively, and ensure team accountability
- Experience with development and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.) and/or IT service management practices (ITIL, DevOps, etc.)
- Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Payment Card Industry (PCI) or similar regulatory standards
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to use metrics and data to evaluate team performance and identify improvement opportunities
Desired Qualifications- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or related field
- Experience leading globally distributed teams or working across international time zones
- Portfolio Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)-APICS
- Project Management Institute-Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
- ITIL Foundation v4
