Overview

Garmin is seeking a highly skilled Executive Assistant to support the COO and executive office at our U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to the COO, helping to advance business initiatives, coordinate complex schedules, and provide comprehensive administrative support within the company's executive office. Essential Functions

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the COO and collaborate with team members across the organization to support business objectives.
  • Develop high-impact presentations and draft internal and external communications in response to business needs.
  • Manage complex executive calendars, including meeting logistics, preparation, and execution to support efficiency and time management for leaders.
  • Assist with board meeting logistics and materials to enable smooth execution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate executive approvals and optimize workflow processes.
  • Plan logistics for high-profile meetings and events, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
  • Receive calls and respond to correspondence to the executive office, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, anticipating preferences and requirements.
  • Lead special projects to advance organizational objectives and perform other duties and functions as required.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience as an executive assistant supporting C-suite executives, OR an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
  • Demonstrates high integrity, a positive attitude, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with advanced proficiency in grammar and editing.
  • Exercises discretion and sound judgment, especially when handling sensitive information.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Teams and Excel.
