Overview

We are seeking a full-time Aviation Quality Engineer in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and implementing basic quality tools and methods, identifying quality issue and collaborating across the organization to understand and resolve the issues.

Essential Functions
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to identify, understand, resolve and eradicate quality issues
  • Leads cross organizational project teams to implement process and tool improvements that improve quality
  • Participates in product quality reviews with Senior Quality Engineers
  • Identifies and resolves defects of basic scope using proper engineering tools and techniques
  • Applies basic standards and procedures to accomplish tasks using appropriate engineering tools to document and implement work in an organized manner
  • May be responsible for planning own technical work
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field AND a minimum of 1 year relevant experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
  • Demonstrated capability to perform basic troubleshooting & debugging
  • Demonstrated understanding of lean tools and methods
  • Demonstrated capability for applying industry standards and procedures to develop, implement, and document operational processes
  • Ability to learn how to use and apply engineering tools
Desired Qualifications
  • Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
  • Awareness of AS 9100, APQP, and Customer Specific Requirements
