Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties): Reporting Directly to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for:
Safety & Compliance - Lead by example to ensure a Safety First workplace.
- Enforce and promote adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and promptly address hazards.
Performance & Productivity - Plan, organize, and direct daily manufacturing activities to meet or exceed production schedules and efficiency targets.
- Monitor workflow, adjust resources as needed, and implement solutions to address bottlenecks.
- Use data and KPIs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in production processes.
Quality & Customer Focus - Ensure that all products meet company, regulatory, and customer quality standards.
- Partner with Quality and Maintenance teams to quickly address quality concerns.
- Promote a "right the first time" mindset across the team.
- Ensures ISO policies and procedures are followed and maintained to remain complaint
Team Leadership & Development - Onboard, train, and mentor new employees to build capability and confidence.
- Partners with the Leads in the department to coordinate cross training and ensure timely submission of all training paperwork.
- Provide ongoing coaching and constructive feedback to team members.
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative environment where all employees feel valued.

- At least 2 years' experience in a lead role in a Manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce
- Strong understanding of safety, quality and productivity principles.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees throughout the organization
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, structured and proactive
- Computer and technology skills e.g. proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MES Systems
