The Industrial Engineering Intern will work alongside our experienced engineering, operations, and materials teams to analyze, design, and improve manufacturing processes. The focus of this opportunity will be on material from point of receipt to consumption of material in production. A facility wide study to identify current state and future state improvement opportunities with overall material flow. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world manufacturing challenges while contributing directly to projects that enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. What you'll do: Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role will:
- Make it Better - Continuous Improvement
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste, with a focus on materials flow.
- Support time studies, workflow analysis, and data collection to evaluate process performance.
- Research and recommend innovative tools, equipment, or methods to improve efficiency.
- Make it Right - Quality & Compliance
- Collaborate with quality, materials and production teams to ensure processes meet quality standards.
- Help document standardized work procedures for consistency and compliance.
- Make it Together - Collaboration & Teamwork
- Partner with cross-functional teams in production, materials, and quality to implement process changes.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas that foster a collaborative problem-solving environment.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Make an Impact - Results & Contribution
- Contribute to cost reduction, safety, and material flow improvement initiatives.
- Support projects that directly impact our operational performance.
- Present end-of-internship findings and recommendations to leadership.

Who we're looking for: A successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; exposure to CAD software or process analysis tools a plus.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive approach to learning.
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing floor environments.
- May be required to stand, walk, and observe production processes for extended periods.
