This role is on site at our headquarters in Wichita, KS and offers a hybrid schedule, providing you with flexibility and work/life balance.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with a team of talented professionals, including business stakeholders, analysts, and fellow engineers, to understand software requirements and transform them into efficient and scalable applications.
• Design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art software solutions that streamline our operations, enhance productivity, and drive business growth.
• Take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment and ongoing maintenance, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects or performance issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of our applications.
• Foster a culture of excellence by conducting code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring junior team members to help them reach their full potential.
• Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, actively contributing to the continuous improvement of our software engineering capabilities.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• 2+ years professional software engineering experience
• 2+ years of software engineering with at least one programming language; Python or TypeScript/JavaScript preferred
• 1+ years' experience with AWS Serverless Services
• 1+ years' experience working with a database technology; Graph preferred

What Will Put You Ahead

• Proven experience in software development using languages such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C++, or similar, along with an understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Proficiency in modern web development frameworks and technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and React, with a keen eye for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces
• Experience with agile software development methodologies, version control systems, and issue tracking tools, enabling seamless collaboration within cross-functional teams
• Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of successfully tackling complex technical challenges
• Ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders including business owners and product owners
• Experience in the energy or manufacturing industry
