Your Job

Flint Hills Resources is seeking a dedicated and analytical professional to join our team as a Credit Analyst. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your financial acumen and risk management skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Our Team

This position will report to the Credit Manager and be based onsite at our headquarters in Wichita, KS.

What You Will Do
  • Own a portfolio of customers, including:
      • Evaluating creditworthiness of potential and existing customers through detailed financial statement analysis and risk assessment procedures,
      • Continually analyzing financial data, counterparty risk, and risk vs reward,
      • Communicating findings and making recommendations to business partners,
      • Monitoring business activity versus approved limits,
      • Identifying credit mitigation solutions to enable profitable business activity.
  • Partner with groups across the organization to improve data accuracy, increase credit risk visibility, and optimize processes.
  • Apply Principle Based Management and the Koch Risk Philosophy.
  • Collaborate with and learn from a team of finance analysts.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience with, or understanding of, financial statement analysis
  • Experience with reporting and analytics
  • Experience using data to problem solve and develop a point of view
  • Experience prioritizing and multitasking in a fast-paced environment, as well as taking initiative and escalating issues


What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience with credit analysis, risk analysis, financial modeling, or economic research
  • Experience in data automation/transformation
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or Business or related field
