Position SummaryThe Human Resources Representative supports the execution of core HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and compliance. This role serves as a resource to employees and leaders, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and best practices while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
The position requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role is demonstrated through effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & Support - Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment practices
- Assist in the investigation of employee concerns and complaints, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution
- Assist managers with routine employee relations matters, performance documentation, and corrective action processes
- Support leave administration, accommodations, and benefits coordination as needed
Recruitment & Onboarding - Participate in recruitment, interview coordination, and hiring activities
- Assist with extending employment offers
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle activities
Performance Management & Development - Support the administration of performance management processes, including reviews and development planning
- Assist in coordinating employee training and professional development initiatives
- Promote employee engagement and retention strategies
HR Operations & Compliance - Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and organizational policies
- Ensure timely and accurate HR documentation and reporting
- Prepare reports on HR metrics, staffing activity, and organizational trends
- Assist with payroll and benefits administration processes as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including applicable Missouri and Kansas regulations
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
General Responsibilities - Partner with HR leadership to escalate complex employee or organizational issues
- Participate in departmental initiatives and process improvement efforts
- Maintain confidentiality of all employee and organizational information
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related. Deep understanding of labor law and employment equity regulations.
Skills - Knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and best practices
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Meticulous attention to detail.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
