Are you passionate about shaping the future of customer experience and empowering teams through impactful learning? Capitol Federal is seeking a dynamic, results-driven leader to join us as our Director of Workforce & Curriculum Development.

About the Role

As the Director, you'll lead the design and delivery of innovative training programs that reinforce our core values of integrity, service, and financial stewardship. You'll collaborate with business leaders and the Executive team to identify learning gaps, develop continuous learning curricula, and ensure our retail banking staff are equipped to serve their communities with excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, facilitate, and optimize training programs for all retail banking staff
  • Align learning initiatives with company culture, strategic goals, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee digital learning platforms and blended training solutions
  • Monitor training effectiveness and report outcomes to Executive Leadership and the Board
  • Lead and develop trainers, quality assurance representatives, and Manager-in-Training employees
  • Manage relationships with external training vendors and industry associations
  • Implement cost-effective training solutions leveraging existing infrastructure

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years' experience in retail banking, training, or related fields (leadership experience required)
  • College degree required; Master's in Education (M.Ed.) or related field preferred
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments
  • Commitment to upholding Capitol Federal's values and delivering high-quality service

Additional Details
  • Office-based role with occasional travel to branch locations or external training sites
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)
