Job Description:

CapFed® is looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Commercial Loan Assistant to join our team! In this role, you'll work closely with Commercial Loan Officers to support the origination, processing, and closing of commercial loan transactions - while providing outstanding service to both internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial loan requests from application to closing.
• Provide timely, professional support to customers via phone and email.
• Enter and update loan data using commercial loan processing software.
• Order and track documents (e.g., title, appraisal, flood, credit, etc.).
• Help gather required customer documents and verify due diligence files.
• Coordinate closings with title companies and ensure compliance with all procedures.
• Ensure accuracy in monetary postings, identity verification, and document retention.
• Support credit analysts in researching applicant eligibility.
• Maintain up-to-date loan workflows and status reports.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous experience in banking or credit analysis (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer systems.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
