Join us as a Senior Database Engineer at Dedalus, one of the World’s leading healthcare technology companies, on our Technology Operations team in Ireland to do the best work of your career and make a profound impact in providing better care for a healthier planet.

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Database Engineer you will apply configuration changes within MySQL databases and providing support by investigating and resolving issues through configuration where possible.

This role is crucial in ensuring the stability, performance, and configurability of our systems.

Working with an extended highly skilled team, you will be making a profound impact throughout the healthcare sector.

You will:

  • Database Configuration: Implement and manage configuration changes across MySQL databases, ensuring accuracy, stability, and adherence to operational standards.
  • Issue Investigation: Provide Level 2 support, analysing application bugs and issues, working collaboratively with other technical teams to diagnose and resolve problems.
  • Configuration-Based Resolutions: Identify and implement solutions using configuration changes wherever feasible, minimizing the need for code-level intervention.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date documentation on configurations, troubleshooting steps, and resolution paths. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive system documentation, including configuration guides, and functional specifications.
  • Collaboration: Act as a bridge between Level 1 support, development teams, and infrastructure teams, ensuring smooth issue resolution and knowledge sharing.
