MISSION
To enable Schneider's drive towards solutions business for and throughout the Data Centre (and generally critical
environments) lifecycle there is the need for a position to provide the leadership for Greater India across the critical
following areas:
• Commercial Management, Risk Management & strong Solution Purchasing through a bid desk
• Subject matter expertise for Data Centre projects for Architecture & Integration in M& E design,
consulting and engineering
• Robust Tender Management and Tendering process
The Tender Leader will be leading the above critical works.
The Tender leader is expected to be engaged with our customers on the complex types and size of projects,
representing the entire Data Centre opportunity, which encompasses all Schneider hardware, software and services
but also all relevant 3rd party solutions.
In line with the IT Commercial Strategy, the Tender Leader will provide leadership in building an effective organization
and developing a roadmap to ensure the right competence level at all stages of the Data Centre lifecycle. This person
will provide leadership internally both in terms of strategic direction and in support of the country IT Division sales
teams. He / She will build a team recognized in the industry for top performance and recognized for providing
guidance to customers to support their business.
Being a recognized industry expert in the Data Center industry, and with a strong understanding of the dynamics
of how the Data Centre needs to evolve, with a strong appreciation of Data Centre design and concepts for the
infrastructure layer of the Data Centre. The successful candidate will provide the thought leadership and mentorship
in the mission critical arena, building and growing the M& E design and consulting ability of Schneider, mentoring
and developing the team. The targeted segments / projects are in Cloud & Service Provider, IT, financial services,
government, and other industry segments.
Strong commercial management of a growing number of complex projects is critical to ensure:
(a) Data Centre projects order growth,
(b) High win rate (Tender Hit rate),
(c) Robust risk management from Tender to Execution and a culture of margin controls and improvements to
book project as the highest margin and to improve this margin during execution.
(d) Customer satisfaction on tender delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Insure strong collaboration between Country-Cluster Application Centre teams and key stakeholders from
Countries, Zones, Regions, Segments, Businesses, Global Solution, Global Strategic and Targeted
Customers teams.
2. Manage hierarchically multi-cultural Tender, Engineering, Project Management team and Facility
Operations (with by exception some support functions and sales support) to address the business and
meet financial objectives. Insure structured Supply Chain, effective EHS and site management
organisations Serving Application Centre business.
3. Monitor, control, drive and report the performance of Customer project business within defined
geographical perimeter and technology. Commit and achieve KPIs (SECURE POWER System orders,
Data Centre Multi BU Projects and System orders, Tender Hit Rate, CCOGM at booking, CCOGM
deviation, Customer satisfaction ...)
4. Lead the Data Centre Projects country cadence calls to define action plan to win projects according to key
opportunities identified by the sales team and follow-up of the action plan. Track, strategize, support,
create, push opportunities to its full potential. Discuss and execute how to maximize the Schneider's
scope.
5. Deliver highest level of customer satisfaction and full sharing of customer focus culture within Application
Centre team.
6. Define and implement within corresponding BU & geographies strong and robust technical expertise
development strategy. Ensure Application Centre teams are part of experts' community in line with
business needs and enable to find within =S= other required technical expertises. Evaluate which
expertises are required within the Application Centre.
7. Based on deep market understanding and technology trends, anticipate business changes and their
impacts on Application Centre organization.
Based on BUs, Segment and FOs business strategy, adapt Application Centre technical offers. Create a
team culture of trust and openness, by showing consistency, fulfilling promises and maintaining confidence
in the zone RAC team and the local solution selling teams.
8. Support implementation and local application of Customer Project global governance (CPP, DOA, REL,
SOCs, Project category, Global KPIs, ...). Take active part of Customer Project's gates and decision-
making reviews.
9. Structure, build and recruit team members, optimizing resources to drive performance management.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), and/or Masters in Business Administration. Relevant Professional qualifications (i.e. in the fields of Data Centre, Mechanical & Electrical design, Project Management etc)
Certification Uptime certification or similar experience
Job related Experience 10 or more years in Data Centre applications
Language Speak and write English
Travel requirement Cross Greater India and International when required.
