Job Description - Service Spares Planner

Location: ICF Cooling Factory - Bangalore, India

Role Purpose

The Service Spares Planner is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing downstream material flows between manufacturing plants and regional service hubs to support Secure Power Services offers. This role ensures the availability, lifecycle management, and operational readiness of service spare parts, modernization kits, circular products, and withdrawn products. The position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams including Service LoB squads, Global Supply Chain, Industrialization, Procurement, and Commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Downstream Flow Design & Implementation
    • Design and deploy downstream material flows between plants and regional service hubs for all materials supporting Secure Power Services offers.
    • Collaborate with Service Line of Business (LoB) squads and Global Supply Chain (GSC) teams across geographies.
  • Customer Logistics Offer Development
    • Define and validate customer logistics offers by balancing marketing requirements against supply chain capabilities and costs.
    • Pilot the offer with one country and refine based on results.
  • Supplier & Cost Analysis
    • Partner with Industrialization and Procurement to estimate logistics costs and support supplier selection.
  • Material Master Data Management
    • Coordinate Material Master Data creation in ERPs (plants and hubs), ensuring correct planning and logistics parameters.
    • Support Offer Data and Commercial Launch teams in localizing materials in country-specific ERPs.
  • Manufacturing Readiness & Quality Interaction
    • Monitor manufacturing process qualification and capability readiness with Industrialization and Quality teams.
  • Supply Planning for Launches & Withdrawals
    • Lead and manage ramp-up or ramp-down planning with GSC Planning to ensure stock readiness by the RELEASE milestone.
    • Provide supply chain insights and risk forecasts to LoB for service offer withdrawal strategies.
    • Support execution by monitoring supply risks until final scrap.
  • Installed Base & Rework Coordination
    • Coordinate material preparation for Field Service Bulletin (FSB) rework activities based on severity index and impacted installed base.
  • Support on Last Time Buy (LTB) Mitigation
    • Assist GSC regions in mitigating LTB spares and component constraints in collaboration with LoB squads.
  • Reporting & Governance
    • Participate in monthly Offer & Demand reviews with the SIOP leader.
    • Report status, escalate risks, and drive mitigation actions as necessary.


    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, and inventory management.
    • Experience in Offer Life Management with milestone-based deliverables (offer creation, withdrawal).
    • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
    • Proficiency with digital tools: MS Office, Oracle, OneMM, Baxter, PIM, PDM.
