Description:

Key Responsibilities Leadership and Coordination
• Lead the development and release cadence, coordinating with squads and quality teams for platforming programs of Industry Automation Business Unit

• Support the coordination of other Release Train Engineers (RTEs) from various Lines of Business (LoBs).

• Prepare for and host the Program Increment (PI) Planning events.

• Host the Scrum of Scrums to align on impediments larger than the team level.

• Host the Product Owner (PO) Sync to align adjustments in team backlogs during the PI.

• Host the integrated train demo, known in SAFe as the "System demo, " showcasing sprint results from multiple teams every sprint.

• Host the Inspect and Adapt (I& A) sessions to perform retrospectives and drive process adjustments at the train level.

• Implement continuous improvement action plans, and follow-up their deployment.

• Ensure the use of innersource methodologies to foster collaboration and innovation.
Program Management
• Conduct weekly follow-ups on feature progress to ensure alignment with program goals.

• Manage weekly preparations for the upcoming PI, pushing Product Managers (PMs) and Enterprise Architects (EAs) to groom tickets and ensure readiness.

• Prepare for Pre-PIPE (Program Increment Planning Event) and PIPE, ensuring all necessary preparations are in place.

• Host PIPE sessions to facilitate effective planning and execution.

• Review JIRA/backlog on a weekly basis for updates on features, bugs, and tickets to ensure completeness and accuracy of milestones, teams, and other key attributes.

• Identify delays in dependencies and support resolution efforts to maintain program momentum.
Collaboration and Communication
• Work closely with Product Quality Leaders (PQLs) to ensure dashboards are updated and reflect the current status of the program.

• Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging open communication and transparency across all levels of the program.

• Provide timely and constructive feedback to team members, promoting continuous improvement and professional development.

• High degree of emotional intelligence: Open, receptive and approachable. Listens attentively, has a positive attitude, deals calmly with stress and gives people the opportunity to succeed.

• Strong team player, ability to work successful with teams in an international and multi-sites environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 10 years of experience in a large business unit.

• Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or similar role in an Agile/SAFe environment for at least 3-4 years.

• In-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and SAFe principles.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

• Proficiency in JIRA or similar project management tools.

• Experience in software development and delivery processes.
Preferred Skills
• Certified SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or other relevant certifications.

• Experience in the Industry Automation sector.

• Knowledge of innersource methodologies and best practices.

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
