Description:

We are looking for a talented and passionate Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead complex mechanical designs for medium and low voltage electrical power distribution equipment while serving as a strategic technical liaison between ETO and R& D Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Creation of custom medium voltage switchgear; unique customization of base designs for specific customers and/or applications while maintaining compliance with all performance, design, and standards criteria.
- Develop detailed 2D/3D models and drawings, including sheet metal, busbars, and mechanical assemblies.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD& T) to ensure manufacturable, robust mechanical designs.
- Perform complex part and assembly modifications for Engineer-to-Order (ETO) applications.
- Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with Design Engineering, production, plant engineering, and Technical Antenna teams.
- Bridge ETO and R& D Engineering to align customization with long-term product evolution.
- Conduct mechanical simulations and analysis to optimize designs.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical expertise.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Support manufacturing and other support functions to resolve design questions or challenges promptly.

-Coordinate with plant engineering teams for smoother execution of projects.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution equipment and Schneider Electric ETO systems.
- Proficiency in Creo and SolidWorks.
- Expertise in GD& T.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 10-15 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
