What will you do?• Drive Thermal design for
electromechanical product along with product design with considering a collaborative design work with power electronics team to achieve the thermally effective compact design.
• Generate and refine the concepts and design types using Ansys Icepak or equivalent thermal simulation software.
• Pioneer product innovations to satisfy market requirements, prioritizing cost, thru thermal design solutions.
• Apply engineering expertise to thermal, and material performance, as well as manufacturability.
• Execute product design vision and validation, plan tests and run simulations, and analyze outcomes to develop thermal issue resolutions.
• Access the product safety and compliance requirements during the concept stages to select the best thermal design for detailing.
- Performing the activities related to the thermal design, modelling, and characterization of application and reference boards and IC packages.
- Identify and apply thermal solutions and surveying the market for suitable technologies and available thermal materials.
- Lab validation/characterization of power ICs and reference designs
- Additional structural simulation, Multiskilled and open to learning.
Qualifications• Master's degree in mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years of experience in product design execution
• Demonstrated expertise thermal designing for outdoor electrical enclosures and hardware in CAD.
• Experience in Effective packaging of power electronics with thermal design.
• Extensive knowledge designing in compliance with regulatory standards (UL/IEC/NEC)
• Able to Calculate heat transfer for different mediums and in different scenarios.
• Selecting appropriate materials and components with consideration towards corrosion, acoustics, as well as thermal transfer.
• Analyses existing processes that involve heat transfer to determine where they can be improved and made more cost-effective
- Familiarity with PCBAs and PCBA components
- Additional structural simulation, Multiskilled and open to learning.
