Description:

As a part of the expansion at regional level, we are looking for an Operations Leader in Bangalore to take care of the business in the APJ region.
We are looking for a well organized and experienced leader that can manage MDC operations from the BEF plant in India, with experience in solutions and international markets.

Job Description:
You will take care of the day-to-day operations and production: engineering, planning, manufacturing, warehouse, procurement, finance, and testing, reporting to the Operation's Director. Leading a group of people with different roles in the plant. And at the same time, interacting with a larger group -GSC- inside the organization to make the most of the operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Managing the plant in the most efficient way to maximize the profitability from the manufacturing activities. Owning the P& L of the plant.
• Managing and coordinating a team of people -direct and indirect reports-,
• Setting and following up goals and key indicators for the plant and teams,
• Plant organization: leading production processes, plant capacity, capabilities required, plant resources and flows. Inventory control -managing stocks, WIP, kanban-. Planning -MRP and JIT-. Project supervision and control. Working with supply chain to stablish the proper flows, ensuring the material and equipment (IG/OG), and selecting the proper network of partners (cost, delivery, quality, and safety). To supervise the purchasing: IG and OG,
• Issue resolution during manufacturing and testing,
• Managing the plant efficiently, applying lean management, kaizen and/or six sigma methodologies when required,
• Implementing different strategies to standardize production and sub-assemblies. Leveraging the company digital tools and processes,
• Project/ Solution control, supervision and follow up: technically and financially. Identifying project deviations that may compromise budget and delivery,
• Ability to work on a highly Engineering To Order environment,
• Deploying SPS into the plant: from SIM meetings to plant organization,
• Working with Quality to ensure a safe environment for the persons who work in the plant and delivering a first-class solution to our customers,
• Leading QVE and continuous improvement at plant level and collaborating with R& D when required. Leading the innovation programs for the plant,
• Active participation on opportunity reviews and issue escalation, with region sales team,
• Working with different departments inside the organization: project management, tendering, quality, and H& S.
• Reporting to the Operations Director and issue escalation through RACI matrix including the customer,

Qualifications

Requirements / Qualifications:
• Engineer with a master's degree,
• 8+ years of experience as a plant manager or production manager,
• 5+ years managing projects and solutions,
• Proactive, Self-motivated, Organized, disciplined, solution oriented and decisive,
• Detail oriented
• Open and approachable persona,
• Ability to engage with customers,
• Demonstrated ability to drive results in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving organization.
• Finance acumen to manage the plant P& L,
• Leadership skills,
• Experience working on international markets, being flexible to adapt to multi country multi time zones management of activities,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in English,
• Proficiency in Microsoft tools and SW,
• Basic ERP -Oracle/SAP- knowledge,
• BIM experience is a plus,
• Ability to travel 20% of your time, both domestically and internationally to support the projects and factories if needed,
