Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior/Team Lead Engineer to lead the technical execution of system-level testing and validation activities. This role combines hands-on engineering expertise with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring junior engineers and driving strategic test initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring product reliability, performance, and compliance through advanced testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Mentorship- Lead a multidisciplinary team in executing test strategies across hardware and software domains.
- Mentor junior engineers in technical execution, coding standards (test automation), and testing best practices.
- Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Efficient collaboration with other LoB groups (local & remote)
- Facilitate productive collaboration with geographically dispersed LoB groups.
Test Strategy & Execution- Develop and own comprehensive test plans covering functional, integration, performance, and environmental aspects.
- Drive Reliability Testing including HALT/HASS, adapted to lab capabilities.
- Lead RF Testing and Validation to ensure product performance and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct Temperature Compensation Testing (TRC) and other environmental robustness evaluations.
- Expand test coverage as needed based on product or solution requirements.
Automation & CI/CD- Own and optimize automated testing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead automation efforts across mobile apps, cloud platforms, and connected devices.
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to integrate automated tests into release cycles.
Collaboration & Technical Ownership- Work closely with software/hardware designers, architects, and product owners to ensure testability of design requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to product architecture decisions when possible.
- Build and maintain test benches and lab setups for system-level validation.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, electronics, instrumentation engineering or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in system testing, validation, or engineering leadership.
- Strong experience with HALT/HASS, RF testing, and environmental testing.
- Proficiency in Python and test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, TestRail, Jira, Grafana).
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and RESTful services.
- Experience with lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, analyzers) and mechanical assemblies.
Preferred Skills: - Experience in HVAC and building automation.
- Agile/SAFe methodology knowledge.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Experience with virtualization tools (VMware, VirtualBox).
Performance Objectives: - Deliver stable and scalable CI/CD environments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and test plans.
- Ensure timely and high-quality product releases.
- Actively contribute to team knowledge sharing and process improvement.
