SUMMARY OF JOB: Having exposure in cooling product mechanical design such as PAC, Chiller and Air conditioning unit
Good Exposure in Sheet metal & Piping modelling and 3D design
Key responsibilities: - Responsible for Part design and qualification of sheet metal & Piping Parts
- Hands on Experience in 3D software like Creo, Solid works, Solidedge
- Evaluating the ETO (Engineering to order) requests and execute the necessary change in products following product design guideline.
- Mechanical & Electrical component qualification and documentation
- Exposure to Engineering Process & GD& T.
- Good knowledge on PFMEA, DFMEA, Risk Assessments, PQCS, CQCS Etc.
- Support for DFM/DFA discussions with the project team.
- Responsible for key project deliverables involved in the PMP
- Experience in developing concepts for components and drawings.
- Validation of protobuild unit and performance assessment.
- Drive technical solutions and reviews with internal design team and multiple solution providers
- Creation of ECO and ECN for Design, Test and Component changes. Ensure that all the ECO's and ECN are implemented.
- Lead the Component Engineering function for Internal and External ISO audits.
- Guide the support functions with the processes involved in the PMP.
- Document and present and manage all the communications associated with in the scope of his/her responsibility.
- Creation of new parts numbers for all the Electrical components used in the PMP projects in PDM
- Assist in new vendor qualification process.
Technical Skills- 4-8 years Strong experience in sheet metal & piping design and 3D modelling
- Proficiency in Creo / SolidWorks / Solid Edge
- Good understanding of GD& T and engineering design principles
- Experience in component design, prototyping, and validation
- Experience in cooling systems (PAC, HVAC, Chillers)
- Basic understanding of thermal systems / airflow design
- Exposure to industrial product development environment
- Exposure to DFMEA, PFMEA, Risk Assessment methodologies
- Knowledge of PQCS / CQCS or similar quality frameworks
- Familiarity with DFM/DFA principles
- Experience with PDM / PLM systems
- Hands-on experience managing ECO / ECN processes
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, suppliers)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in vendor interactions and technical coordination
