Lead, Infrastructure Services Engineer
Exp 5- 7 yrs
Location Bangalore
MISSION
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for delivering, maintaining, supporting and continuously improving IOM services across our internal Data Centers/Server Rooms and cloud environments, acting as a full-stack integrator between different layers of IT
• Understanding the end-to-end infrastructure architecture and its interactions with other IT layers.
• Ensuring high levels of reliability, performance and security across on-premise and cloud workloads.
• Supporting business demands, infrastructure projects and operational requirements.
• Maintaining stable and updated environments in our Data Centers and server rooms.
• Collaborate with application, connectivity, Security and Cloud teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure services.
KEY RESPOSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities include:
• Operational Excellence:
o Daily service follow-up, ensuring operations are performed with high quality level
o Act as the technical owner for P1/P2 critical incidents, ensuring rapid and effective resolution.
o Drive reduction of incident volume and duration through problem management and continuous improvement
o Support delivery of new requests, changes and infrastructure evolutions with agility and quality.
o Participating in study and project delivery
• Infrastructure Management
o Advice on technical solutions to applications and business teams
o Manage and maintain on-premise infrastructure including Windows/Linux OS, hardware platforms, SAN/Storage, and virtualization.
o Administer and optimize VMWare and Hyper-V infrastructure, ensuring availability, capacity, patching and lifecycle management.
o Automate operational tasks such as provisioning, patching, configuration, reporting and incident remediation.
o Use and promote our standards
o Act actively to improve the security day to day
o Manage Obsolescence remediation: keep infrastructure up-to-date
o Manage and maintain the information of our assets and relations with other IT components
o In collaboration with Business, apply SE products and solutions in selected data centers and server rooms
REQUIREMENTS
Education: •Graduate in Computer Science or similar
Certifications: • Not mandatory, but relevant technical certifications (Microsoft, Azure, VMware, Veeam, automation tools) are a plus.
Job Related Experience: • 5 years of experience in infrastructure management
Technical Skills • Management of infrastructure: OS Windows/Linux, Virtualization VMware and Hyper-V in hybrid infrastructures environments
• Linux troubleshooting and administration skills
• Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub).
• Backup software and infrastructure
• Good understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS and Azure)
• Good understanding of connectivity and networking protocols
• Full understanding of Windows/Linux patching (AzureArc, SCCM, WSUS, AWS SSM; etc.)
• Full understanding of Server configuration and management, including HW
• Management of DELL VSAN / VxRAIL infrastructure
• Storage and SAN systems administration
• Skills with infrastructure monitoring, dashboards, alerting and performance troubleshooting
•ITIL processes knowledge
Soft Skills: • Pragmatic, solution-oriented and able to operate autonomously.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
• Open-minded, proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
•Excellent communication skills.
Language: •Fluent in English
Travel requirements: •Less than 25%
